Metaplanet denied selling any bitcoin after blockchain trackers flagged a $320 million transfer of 5,014 BTC. CEO Simon Gerovich stated the movement was a routine custodial shift between company wallets, not a liquidation.

The firm’s total holdings remain at 43,000 BTC, unchanged despite recent on-chain activity. Speculation arose after tracking firms noted the large transaction, prompting concerns about potential sales amid broader scrutiny of corporate bitcoin treasuries.

Digital asset treasury firms, including Strategy, have faced increased attention as investors monitor balance sheet adjustments. Strategy has recently sold portions of its BTC to fund dividends and share repurchases.
