Iran’s Foreign Ministry confirmed ongoing mediation efforts by Qatar, Oman, and Pakistan to reduce tensions with the US. A spokesperson stated Iran will not fulfill its memorandum of understanding (MoU) commitments until the US adheres to its obligations, accusing the US of repeated breaches.

The MoU is currently in a crisis phase, with Iran attempting to establish a joint mechanism with Oman on the Strait of Hormuz. US actions are reportedly hindering these efforts, prolonging uncertainty in the region.

Markets reacted with a slight shift in risk sentiment. The US Dollar Index (DXY) fell 0.12% to 100.85, reversing earlier gains as demand for safe-haven assets softened.
