McDonald’s stock hovers near its 52-week low despite consistent global sales growth and rising profits.

McDonald’s (MCD) shares closed at $270.64, 21% below their 52-week high of $341.75 and just 4% above the yearly low. The stock now yields 2.7% in dividends, trading at 22 times earnings.

The company reported positive global comparable sales in each of the last four quarters, with growth ranging from 3.6% to 5.7%. U.S. comparable sales rose 6.8% in Q4 2025 and 3.9% in Q1 2026, while international markets saw similar gains.

Despite strong operational performance, the stock’s decline has not reflected underlying business strength, raising questions about market sentiment versus fundamentals.
