June’s 7.2% rise marks Mazda’s first year-on-year sales increase after five consecutive monthly declines.
Mazda’s global passenger vehicle sales climbed 7.2% year-on-year to 111,078 units in June, reversing a 5% drop in the same month last year. Domestic sales surged 18% to 13,844 units, while overseas sales rose 6% to 97,234 units.
Year-to-date global sales remain down 4.8% at 606,850 units, with US deliveries falling 4% and China down nearly 10%. Europe bucked the trend, posting an 11% gain to 92,993 units.
The CX-5 led global sales in the first half, accounting for 29% of total volume with 174,205 units sold, up 3.4% year-on-year.
