New card allows Egyptian businesses to make USD-denominated payments globally via Mastercard’s network.
Mastercard and the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) have introduced a USD-denominated corporate debit card for businesses. The product targets large corporates and SMEs, enabling cross-border payments to international suppliers and digital platforms.
The card leverages Mastercard’s global network to facilitate secure USD transactions, supporting Egypt’s digital payments infrastructure. NBE and Mastercard executives highlighted the move as a step toward broader economic participation for local businesses.
The USD Corporate Debit Card is now available at NBE branches nationwide. Separately, Mastercard has expanded its virtual card platform, Mastercard In Control, to enhance security for business payments.
