US market conditions reach easiest level since 1996
The gauge of US market conditions has risen to its easiest level since 1996, driven by rising stocks and calmer markets.
This reversal comes after Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh stated that markets had done ‘quite a bit’ of the Fed’s tightening just two weeks ago.
The S&P 500 has jumped nearly 7% since July 29, while the VIX volatility gauge has dropped six points to the lows of the year.
