Restaurant management platform MarginEdge has raised $80m in a Series D funding round co-led by Schooner Capital and Ten Coves Capital. Existing investors, including Osage Venture Partners and Western Alliance Bank, also participated, pushing the company’s total funding to $162m.

The company, founded in 2015, provides tools that integrate purchasing, inventory, sales, and accounting to reduce manual work for restaurant operators. MarginEdge now serves over 13,000 restaurants and has processed 40 million invoices, covering $28bn in purchasing volume.

Proceeds will fund AI product expansion, including an in-house assistant that recommends orders and flags operational inefficiencies. The company recently introduced “Tom the Tomato,” an AI tool leveraging internal data to optimize restaurant performance.
