Company invests $25 million in blockchain-based verification to combat $467 billion annual counterfeit trade in USA supply chains.
Made in USA Inc. will use the XRP Ledger to build a digital verification platform for American supply chains, targeting counterfeit goods. The company acquired the technology stack in an all-stock deal valued at $25 million, or 5 million restricted shares, according to a recent SEC filing.
The platform aims to enhance transparency and trust in “Made in USA” product claims by leveraging blockchain and AI-driven tools. Counterfeit trade costs the global economy an estimated $467 billion annually, or 2.3% of worldwide imports, per OECD data.
The system, still in development, combines public and private XRPL infrastructure with Hyperledger frameworks to verify product origins for manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
