Lululemon has launched in Romania through a franchise partnership with Arion Retail Group, the company’s fourth new market entry in 2026.
The Canadian athletic wear retailer said in a statement that the new store is located at Băneasa Shopping City in Bucharest
It marks the brand’s first physical presence in the Romanian market and offers its athletic and lifestyle product range to local shoppers. Lululemon senior vice-president for EMEA Sarah Clark said: “This year we have expanded our presence across some of the fastest-growing markets across central and eastern Europe and our launch into Romania is our latest milestone. “Bucharest is such a dynamic city with an active well-being network, including local and international studios, health clubs and holistic fitness experiences. The response from the local community during opening week has been exciting and shows the strength of the opportunity ahead.” Romania follows three previous market entries this year.
Lululemon moved into Poland and Hungary in March, before entering Greece in May, all through franchise partnerships. The company said its wider expansion across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is part of its focus on “strategic international growth”. Lululemon said that, by mid-June 2026, it will have opened eight new stores across the EMEA region within a six-week period.
