Eli Lilly raises 2026 revenue outlook following stronger-than-expected Q2 sales driven by weight-loss and diabetes drugs.

Eli Lilly reported second-quarter revenue of $22.97 billion, a 48% increase from $15.56 billion a year earlier, surpassing Wall Street estimates of $20.6 billion. Non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $8.38 from $6.31, beating consensus estimates of $6.05.

The surge was driven by a 60% increase in volume, led by strong demand for Mounjaro and Zepbound, which generated $9.94 billion and $4.93 billion in revenue, respectively. U.S. revenue climbed 33% to $14.4 billion, while international sales jumped 80% to $8.6 billion.

Shares rose nearly 7% in early trading as the company raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook, citing continued momentum in its key therapeutic areas.
