Liberty Energy Inc. (NYSE:LBRT) shares rose around 3% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company announced a strategic partnership with SLB (NYSE:SLB) to deliver power generation and infrastructure solutions for data centres worldwide.

Alliance Targets Growing AI Infrastructure Demand The partnership brings together the two companies’ capabilities to provide modular infrastructure and integrated power generation systems for new data centre developments. Under the agreement, SLB will contribute its expertise in modular infrastructure, project execution and global deployment, while Liberty Energy will supply modular power generation systems, behind-the-meter intelligent power controls and operational support. The collaboration is designed to help developers accelerate the construction of new data centre capacity as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to grow.
Behind-the-Meter Power Solutions in Focus The companies said many data centre developers are increasingly seeking behind-the-meter power solutions that can be deployed independently of traditional electricity grids, allowing projects to come online more quickly. “The bottleneck in AI infrastructure is no longer just compute.
