Kumba Iron Ore Limited delivered a 35% EBITDA margin for the first half of the year, driven by an average realized export price of $90 per wet metric tonne, up 8% versus the benchmark. Net cash at period-end stood at R12.1 billion, with attributable free cash flow of R1.9 billion and a return on capital employed of 26%. C1 unit costs were $46 per wet metric tonne.
The company’s performance improved from prior periods, supported by higher iron ore prices and operational efficiency. The interim dividend was set at R7.90 per share, reflecting strong cash generation and shareholder returns.
