Crypto exchange Kraken introduces 24/7 S&P 500 perpetual trading with up to $1 million exposure for funded accounts.
Kraken has launched an S&P 500 perpetual product within its funded trading program, offering round-the-clock exposure to the US equity benchmark. The product is structured as a perpetual contract priced off an index oracle, eliminating expiration or rollover requirements, and allows up to 5x leverage with a $1 million notional cap per trader.
The S&P 500 joins the Nasdaq 100 as the second traditional asset available through Kraken Prop, part of a broader push to integrate multi-asset trading. Commodities are expected to follow. Traders can access the product via evaluation accounts starting at $20, with funded account sizes ranging from $5,000 to $200,000.
The move follows Kraken’s recent expansion into traditional financial products, including retail access to initial public offerings and tokenized shares. The exchange aims to bridge crypto and conventional markets through its proprietary trading platform.
