Kraken switches to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol
Kraken is deprecating its existing cross-chain provider and migrating to Chainlink CCIP.
The move follows a number of protocols that have made the switch after the Kelp DAO exploit in April.
LayerZero was exploited in April, resulting in the theft of about $292 million in liquid restaking tokens.
Kraken chose Chainlink CCIP for its enterprise-grade infrastructure and strict security requirements, including 16 independent nodes and native rate limits.
