KKR launched Helix Digital Infrastructure on Thursday, a new company backed by more than $10 billion in committed capital and designed to provide integrated infrastructure for AI hyperscalers.
Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia, and Vistra join KKR as founding investors
According to the company, Helix is designed to consolidate data center, power, connectivity, and related infrastructure services into one integrated offering for hyperscalers. The launch comes as demand from large AI users for more integrated infrastructure solutions has grown alongside the scale and complexity of building out AI capacity. Former Amazon Web Services CEO Adam Selipsky will lead Helix as co-founder and chief executive.
Waldemar Szlezak, KKR’s global head of digital infrastructure, will serve as chief investment officer. Nvidia will serve as a cornerstone strategic partner, supporting the deployment of its DSX AI factory-aligned infrastructure. Vistra, an integrated power generation and electricity company with operations across 18 states and Washington, D.C., will be the preferred power provider for Helix investments.
