Gianfranco D’Attis joins luxury brand Alexander McQueen as CEO, tasked with improving financial performance and brand clarity.
Kering has named Gianfranco D’Attis as the new CEO of Alexander McQueen, effective June 3. D’Attis, former CEO of Prada, will relocate to London and report directly to Kering CEO Luca de Meo. His appointment follows a three-year stint at Prada, where he exited amid strategic disagreements.
D’Attis brings over 25 years of luxury industry experience, including roles at Christian Dior Couture Americas and Jaeger-LeCoultre. Kering highlighted his track record in brand development, retail excellence, and client engagement, citing his success in strengthening Prada’s desirability and growth.
The move aims to refocus Alexander McQueen’s strategy, sharpen brand identity, and enhance financial performance. De Meo emphasized D’Attis’s operational rigor and ability to drive disciplined execution as key to unlocking the brand’s potential.
