NASDAQ-listed KWM appoints Joongjae Lee as chairman and Richard Kim as co-CEO to drive acquisition strategy ahead of rebrand.
K Wave Media Ltd. (NASDAQ:KWM) overhauled its leadership, appointing Joongjae Lee as chairman and Richard Kim as co-CEO alongside existing CEO Ted Kim. The changes take effect immediately as the company prepares to rebrand as NEXUS Advanced Technologies Inc. and expand through acquisitions in tech-focused industries.
Lee, also CEO of Rabbit Walk Co., Ltd., a Korea-based AI content producer, joins as KWM holds a majority stake in the firm. Richard Kim brings 30 years of experience in corporate finance and cross-border M&A, including roles at KOSPI and KOSDAQ-listed companies. The co-CEO structure splits responsibilities, with Richard Kim overseeing Korea-based operations and Ted Kim focusing on U.S. capital markets and regulatory matters.
The leadership shift aligns with KWM’s strategy to strengthen its presence in both Korea and the U.S. amid ongoing acquisition efforts. The company did not disclose financial targets or timelines for the rebrand.
