Chipotle stock rose $29.66 after JPMorgan upgraded its rating to Overweight, halting a six-session losing streak.

Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) shares climbed 5.25% to $29.66 in afternoon trading, reversing a six-day decline. The gain followed JPMorgan’s upgrade to Overweight from Neutral, citing improved outlook for the fast-casual chain.

Prior to the upgrade, CMG had fallen for six consecutive sessions, underperforming peers in the restaurant sector. Analysts had previously flagged concerns over valuation and margin pressures, though recent sales trends showed resilience.

The stock’s rebound erased part of its recent losses, reflecting investor optimism following the rating change.
