James Hardie Industries posted first-quarter net sales of $1.47 billion, up 64% year over year, driven by strong demand in fiber cement products and pricing power. Adjusted EBITDA reached $422 million, a 28.6% margin, exceeding the company’s guidance range.

Organic growth in Siding & Trim rose 20%, while decking sales declined 5% due to channel-inventory normalization. Adjusted EPS climbed 13% to $0.36. The company now expects fiscal 2027 sales of $5.564 billion–$5.723 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $1.536 billion–$1.625 billion.

Management cited expanded distribution partnerships and AZEK integration as key growth drivers, despite ongoing cost inflation and cautious housing sentiment. Free cash flow is projected to exceed $500 million for the year.
