Gold prices in India fell on Friday, reaching INR 13,265.91 per gram, down from INR 13,343.67 the previous day. The decline also saw the price per tola drop to INR 154,733.00 from INR 155,637.90.
Prices are calculated by adapting international gold rates to the local currency and units, updated daily based on market rates at publication. Local rates may vary slightly from the reference prices.
Central banks globally added 1,136 tonnes of gold worth $70 billion to reserves in 2022, reflecting its role as a safe-haven asset and hedge against inflation.
