The activist investor’s firm names Papapostolou CEO after Carl Icahn’s longtime deputy, Keith Teno, steps down.

Icahn Enterprises LP announced Aris Papapostolou as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. Papapostolou succeeds Keith Teno, who has stepped down after serving as the firm’s top executive for over a decade under billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn.

Teno’s departure follows a period of heightened scrutiny over Icahn Enterprises’ stock performance and governance. The company, which operates across industrial, energy, and investment segments, has faced pressure from short sellers and regulatory attention in recent years. Papapostolou previously served as the firm’s chief operating officer and has been with the company since 2015.

Shares of Icahn Enterprises (IEP) showed muted reaction in after-hours trading, reflecting investor caution amid leadership changes.
