The updated estimate boosts measured and indicated gold resources to 20.3 million ounces ahead of a planned expansion study.
IAMGOLD Corp (TSX:IMG, NYSE:IAG) increased its consolidated measured and indicated mineral resource for the Côté Gold mine in Ontario to 20.3 million ounces, a 12% rise from its December 31, 2025 estimate. The update adds 2.2 million ounces, integrating the Côté and Gosselin zones into a single block model.
The Côté zone now holds 12.7 million measured and indicated ounces, up 13%, while the Gosselin zone contains 7.4 million ounces, an 8% increase. Inferred resources surged 61% to 3.5 million ounces. The estimate uses a $2,500 per ounce gold price assumption and a lower cut-off grade of 0.25 grams per tonne.
The consolidated model will support an upcoming expansion study and updated mine plan, expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. The study will evaluate a potential plant expansion and larger-scale mining across the combined resource.
