Firearms retailer Hutco seeks bankruptcy protection amid declining sales and multiple civil claims totaling over $337,000.
Hutco Corporation, owner of Delta Hawk Sportsman Gun & Pawn, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 10, listing $159,000 in assets and $337,000 in liabilities. The company did not disclose a specific reason for the filing, and no comment was immediately available from the debtor.
The move follows other firearms retailers, including Sagebrush Armory and Custombilt Firearms Manufacturing, which filed for bankruptcy earlier in 2026. Industry-wide declines in sales have pressured multiple firms to seek reorganization or protection from creditors.
Hutco’s largest creditors include United Capital Experts LLC, owed $115,000, and Kapitus Servicing, owed $69,000, among others. The filing was submitted in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California.
