Consumer products firm HELE reports $0.17 adjusted EPS, raising fiscal 2027 revenue outlook to $1.76B-$1.83B after Q1 sales rise 8.2%.

Helen of Troy posted first-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.17 per share, reversing an expected $0.01 loss, as net sales increased 8.2% year-over-year to $402.1 million. The results exceeded analyst forecasts of $374.5 million in revenue, driven by 9.5% growth in Home & Outdoor and 7% in Beauty & Wellness segments.

The company raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $1.76 billion to $1.83 billion, up from prior expectations, while maintaining adjusted EPS guidance of $3.25 to $3.75. Gross margin declined 110 basis points to 46% due to tariff pressures and customer mix shifts, though cost savings from its Project Pegasus restructuring partially offset the impact.

Management attributed the performance to early progress in its multi-year restructuring, including supply chain diversification to reduce China-sourced product exposure to 25%-30% of cost of goods sold by fiscal 2026. The company is prioritizing marketing and innovation for key brands like OXO and Hydro Flask.
