Situational Awareness LP kept its stake in ProPetro Holding Corp. (NYSE:PUMP) unchanged at over 910,000 shares in Q1 2026, according to recent filings. The position, valued at $13.7 billion, first appeared in the fund’s portfolio in Q4 2025 and remains static amid ProPetro’s strategic shift toward AI infrastructure.

ProPetro, an energy services provider, has leveraged its Permian Basin operations and power generation assets to supply AI data centers. The firm bypassed industrial turbine lead times by securing up to 2.1 gigawatts of additional power through a partnership with Caterpillar in April. This move addresses a critical bottleneck in AI expansion, where power access delays have stalled projects.

The company serves oil and gas producers and industrial clients, including data centers, across Texas and New Mexico. Its dual focus on traditional energy services and AI power supply positions it as a key player in both sectors.
