Ben O’Neill joins HaysMac as tax director to bolster corporate tax and property capabilities for UK real estate clients.
HaysMac, a UK-based accountancy and tax advisory firm, has named Ben O’Neill as its new tax director, effective 11 May 2026. O’Neill will focus on strengthening the firm’s corporate tax and property advisory services, particularly for real estate clients navigating complex tax legislation and transaction scrutiny.
O’Neill brings 14 years of specialist tax experience, including advising UK REITs and property-focused businesses. His background spans work with FTSE 100 companies, privately owned developers, and complex property deals, previously at a Big Four firm and M7 Real Estate.
The appointment aims to support clients through strategic decisions and day-to-day tax challenges. HaysMac highlighted the growing complexity in the property sector, citing evolving tax rules and heightened regulatory oversight as key drivers for the hire.
