The deal with TotalEnergies covers integrated services for Block 58, targeting 760 million barrels of recoverable reserves.
Halliburton secured a long-term contract to provide integrated drilling and completions services for Suriname’s GranMorgu deepwater oil development. The project, located 150km off Suriname’s coast, will utilize digital workflows, real-time data, and automation to improve well placement and reduce costs for operator TotalEnergies.
GranMorgu is part of Block 58, which includes the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields, holding an estimated 760 million barrels of recoverable reserves. TotalEnergies holds a 40% stake, alongside partners APA (40%) and Staatsolie (20%). The contract emphasizes digital execution models to enhance recovery and operational efficiency.
Halliburton will invest in local capabilities, collaborating with Surinamese entities to support the project. The company highlighted the role of advanced well construction and team alignment in maximizing asset value for customers.
