Binance’s MiCA license application meets EU regulatory requirements, with a final update expected by June 30.
Binance announced its Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license application has been cleared by Greece’s Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC). The regulator confirmed compliance with MiCA requirements, following a review at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) level.
The exchange had previously submitted its application as part of broader EU regulatory efforts to standardize crypto oversight. Binance remains on track to secure formal approval, with a further update promised before the end of June.
No immediate market reaction was reported, though the clearance removes a key regulatory hurdle for Binance’s EU operations.
