Goldman Sachs agreed to acquire ETF manager NEOS Investments for $2.25 billion, adding $30 billion in assets to its platform. The deal includes NEOS’ Bitcoin- and Ether-linked income ETFs, such as BTCI and NEHI, which use options-based strategies to generate monthly income alongside crypto exposure.

NEOS, founded in 2022, manages 19 options-based income ETFs. The acquisition follows Goldman’s purchase of Innovator Capital Management and will position the firm as the eighth-largest active ETF manager globally, with about $130 billion in assets under management. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2027, pending regulatory approval.

Analysts noted NEOS’ rapid growth and Goldman’s strategic push into ETFs. The deal contrasts with Goldman’s recent reduction in crypto ETF exposure, including exits from XRP- and Solana-linked funds earlier this year.
