Hevo Group, backed by Brazil’s Global Eggs, has acquired German egg supplier Müritz, expanding its European footprint. The deal increases Hevo’s production capacity to approximately 180 million dozen eggs annually, though current capacity remains undisclosed.

Müritz, located north of Berlin, operates six farms supplying organic and free-range eggs to major German grocers like Edeka. The acquisition aligns with Hevo’s strategy to consolidate a European production platform and deepen ties with key food retailers.

Global Eggs, valued at $8bn, secured up to $1bn from Warburg Pincus in March. The group’s recent deals include last year’s $1.1bn purchase of US-based Hillandale Farms.
