The British Pound traded near 1.3450 against the US Dollar on Tuesday, rising just 0.11% within a 36-pip range, marking its second sub-40-pip session in a week. The pair remains above the 1.3400 level and its moving average band but has barely moved 80 pips over three sessions, signaling limited independent momentum.

Sterling’s performance against other currencies underscores its lack of direction. It was flat against the Euro and Swiss Franc, trailing the Australian and New Zealand Dollars by 0.45% and 0.20%, respectively. The Dollar’s mixed moves—losing ground to high-beta commodity currencies while gaining against the Yen and Canadian Dollar—highlighted a risk-on session rather than broad Sterling strength.

Domestic UK developments had little impact, as the Pound lacked a distinct bid. The currency’s gains against the Dollar were minimal compared to the Australian Dollar’s 0.68% rise, driven by equity market optimism and geopolitical easing in the Strait of Hormuz.
