The British pound remains modestly stronger against the US dollar, trading near key long-term moving averages around 1.34. Scotiabank’s analysis highlights neutral to bullish short-term technicals, with last week’s rise and trend oscillators pointing to upside potential toward 1.3555/1.3560.

Support is identified around 1.3390/1.3400, while the pair continues to pivot within a flat range observed over recent months. UK Gilts underperform European bonds slightly, though EUR/GBP remains stable amid limited volatility due to a lack of UK data releases.

A break above the 1.35 zone could retest the recent peak near 1.3560, while downside risks appear contained near current support levels.
