The British pound (GBP) edges higher against the US dollar (USD) in mixed trading, leading G10 currencies as sentiment improves. Gains remain fractional but outpace peers amid limited fundamental releases this week.

Strategists highlight Thursday’s UK data, including preliminary Q2 GDP, trade, and industrial production figures, as critical drivers. Technical indicators remain bullish, with the RSI at fresh highs and upside targets set between the mid-1.35s and mid-1.36s.

Support is pegged near 1.3400, with a near-term range of 1.3480–1.3580. The pound’s resilience reflects anticipation of economic updates that could shape monetary policy expectations.
