PHOS secures international investment interest and offtake deals at 2026 G7 Summit, boosting LFP battery supply chain efforts.
First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, OTCQX:FRSPF) has secured strategic validation through G7-linked critical minerals initiatives, including letters of interest from export credit agencies and state-backed institutions. The support signals potential large-scale financial backing for its mine development and processing infrastructure, according to analysts.
The company finalized offtake agreements during the 2026 G7 Summit in France, aligning with efforts to diversify critical mineral supply chains, particularly for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. Backing from Denmark’s EIFO, Italy’s SACE, CDP, and SIMEST, alongside technical support from Italian engineering group MAIRE, adds credibility to its Port Saguenay phosphoric acid facility.
Analysts view the developments as a key step in reducing reliance on non-G7 suppliers, reinforcing First Phosphate’s role in securing battery material production for allied nations.
