Firefly Aerospace secured a $75 million subcontract from NASA to deliver four drones to the Moon’s south pole for the MoonFall mission, targeting a 2028 launch. The deal expands Firefly’s lunar mission backlog and broadens its Elytra vehicle’s role beyond transport to deployment support for NASA’s Moon Base initiative.

The company reported Q1 2026 revenue of $80.9 million, a 45% increase from $55.9 million a year earlier, while reaffirming full-year guidance of $420 million to $450 million. Growth was driven by progress in Blue Ghost lunar missions, Alpha Flight 7, and national-security programs.

Firefly’s diversified portfolio spans lunar infrastructure, launch services, and space-defense work, reducing reliance on any single project.
