The platform’s new suite aims to enable AI-driven transactions, potentially accelerating stablecoin adoption among over 1 billion daily AI users.
Digital asset infrastructure provider Fireblocks launched its Agentic Payments Suite, a framework designed to support AI-driven payments via the x402 protocol. The move targets the growing role of AI agents in financial transactions, with Fireblocks highlighting the potential for stablecoin adoption to surge if users delegate spending authority to AI assistants.
The suite includes wallet infrastructure for AI agents to send funds and merchant tools to receive payments, alongside compliance and settlement features for regulated institutions. Fireblocks estimates over 1 billion people use AI daily, suggesting even fractional delegation could significantly increase stablecoin velocity. Industry leaders like Coinbase and Circle have previously forecast AI agents as future primary blockchain users.
Fireblocks also joined the x402 Foundation, reinforcing its push into AI agent infrastructure. The initiative aligns with broader trends in AI-driven financial automation, though market adoption remains uncertain.
