Exelon’s second-quarter earnings rose to $0.43 per share, up from $0.39 year-over-year, as the utility reaffirmed its 2026 outlook.
Exelon reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted operating earnings of $0.43 per share, a 10% increase from $0.39 in the same period last year. The company reaffirmed its full-year guidance of $2.81 to $2.91 per share and maintained its 5%–7% annualized earnings growth target through 2029.
The utility plans to invest $10 billion in 2026 as part of its $41 billion capital plan through 2029, focusing on grid reliability, infrastructure upgrades, and battery storage. Exelon also highlighted progress on pending rate cases and debt financing, with 86% of its 2026 debt-financing needs already completed.
Exelon’s CEO noted that its utilities are projected to rank in the industry’s top quartile for reliability performance, with ComEd and Pepco Holdings expected to be in the top decile.
