Former pilot says only cold-stored bitcoin is truly owned
A 70-year-old former fighter pilot and TOPGUN graduate warned that bitcoin held in ETFs or other digital forms can be easily seized.
He expressed no confidence in the view that governments will not confiscate bitcoin, citing the EU’s planned unrealized gains tax on crypto.
The pilot argued that only bitcoin stored in cold wallets belongs to individuals, due to the risk of digital surveillance and AI-powered tracking.
