Eurozone investor confidence turned positive in August, with the Sentix index climbing to 0.9 from -3.1 in July. The rebound signals improving sentiment among investors after six consecutive months of negative readings.

The index, a gauge of investor morale, had last posted a positive figure in February. July’s reading of -3.1 reflected persistent economic concerns, while consensus expectations for August had pointed to a modest recovery.

EUR/USD traded cautiously below 1.1600 in early European trading, remaining near a recent high following Friday’s weaker-than-expected US jobs data. Gold prices hovered near $4,350, supported by safe-haven demand amid geopolitical tensions.
