The Euro gains 0.3% against the Dollar as US consumer confidence drops to 90.8 in July, pressuring the USD Index toward 101.30.

EUR/USD climbed near 1.1400 on Tuesday, up 0.3%, as the US Dollar weakened following softer US consumer confidence data. The Conference Board’s index fell to 90.8 in July from a revised 92.2 in June, reflecting household caution over business and labor-market conditions.

The Present Situation Index declined for a third straight month to 114.9, while the Expectations Index held at 74.7, remaining below levels typically linked to recession concerns. The US Dollar Index dropped toward 101.30, supporting the Euro’s recovery.

Germany’s Bundesbank noted slight economic expansion in Q2, citing resilient industrial activity and stronger exports, though it warned of potential slowdowns in Q3 as temporary factors fade and energy costs rise.
