The updated “Strawmap” introduces new initiatives like STARKs and native rollups, aiming to optimize Ethereum’s infrastructure for high-demand activities such as token transfers and privacy-preserving transactions. Buterin noted that the shift includes specialized mechanisms to improve scalability without overhauling the entire network.
Researchers are increasingly relying on AI for formal verification, a move intended to bolster security and efficiency. The roadmap also explores potential advancements beyond the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), signaling a broader evolution in the platform’s architecture.
