The Ethereum Foundation will scale back operations and reduce Ethereum sales as it shifts to a leaner structure. The nonprofit, facing high-profile departures, will retain $408 million in holdings while narrowing its focus under a new framework called CROPS.

Recent resignations of key researchers have raised concerns about the foundation’s direction. Buterin emphasized the organization’s role as one of many nodes in Ethereum’s ecosystem, rather than a central authority.

Buterin also noted that 90% of his personal net worth remains in ETH, signaling long-term confidence despite reduced influence at the foundation.
