The Ethereum Foundation (EF) announced the resignation of co-executive director Hsiao-Wei Wang, effective immediately. Wang cited personal reflection during a recent sabbatical as the reason for her departure, stating it was the right time to step back from her leadership role.

Wang’s exit follows the resignation of fellow co-executive director Tomasz Stańczak earlier this year and is the eighth high-profile departure at the EF in the past five months. The organization has faced ongoing scrutiny over its governance, strategy, and leadership structure during this period.

The EF, a Switzerland-based nonprofit, plays a key role in supporting Ethereum’s ecosystem development. Board member Bastian Aue temporarily oversaw operations during Wang’s sabbatical.
