Developers completed key milestones for the Glamsterdam upgrade and announced leadership changes within the Protocol Cluster.
The Ethereum Foundation reported progress on the Glamsterdam upgrade, confirming several key milestones during an interoperability event in Svalbard, Norway. Testing and preparations advanced, positioning the upgrade for its scheduled rollout later this year.
The update follows months of development, with prior phases focusing on consensus layer improvements and execution layer optimizations. The Foundation did not disclose specific technical benchmarks but emphasized readiness for deployment.
Alongside the upgrade progress, the Foundation announced leadership changes. Barnabé Monnot and Tim Beiko are departing, while Alex Stokes will take a sabbatical. Will Corcoran, Kev Wedderburn, and Fredrik will assume Protocol Cluster leadership roles.
