The deal aims to expand Equifax’s footprint in Latin America’s second-largest economy with a high-growth credit bureau.
Equifax has agreed to purchase Mexico’s Círculo de Crédito for an enterprise value of $750 million, strengthening its presence in Latin America. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals.
Círculo de Crédito reported $134 million in revenue over the past 12 months, with 31% growth and adjusted EBITDA margins in the mid-40% range. Equifax stated the acquisition will be accretive to earnings in its first full year of ownership.
The deal will integrate Equifax’s cloud-native technology, AI, analytics, and fraud prevention tools into Círculo’s platform, targeting fintech, retail, and alternative data sectors for future growth.
