Eni’s adjusted net profit surged 106% year-on-year in Q2 2026, driven by tax benefits and higher LNG margins.

Eni posted a 106% year-on-year increase in adjusted net profit to €2.33bn ($2.65bn) in Q2 2026, up from €1.13bn in the same period last year. The company cited a lower adjusted tax rate and improved geographical profit distribution as key drivers.

Proforma adjusted EBIT rose 101% to €5.38bn in Q2, while operations cash flow before working capital jumped 61% to €4.47bn. The Exploration & Production segment led growth with a 97% EBIT increase to €4.77bn, while the Global Gas & LNG Portfolio segment more than doubled its EBIT to €1.04bn.

For the first half of 2026, adjusted net profit reached €3.64bn, a 43% rise from H1 2025. Eni also announced a €3.4bn share buyback for 2026, supported by strong cash generation.
