The funding round includes $30m in total capital to expand semiconductor R&D and testing infrastructure in India.
Cyient Semiconductors has raised $10m in equity from Edelweiss-managed funds at a $500m post-money valuation. The deal also includes structured debt, bringing the total transaction to approximately $30m, pending final agreements.
The funds will support product development in custom power semiconductors and application-specific standard products, as well as in-house validation and testing infrastructure. The investment aligns with rising demand for power efficiency in AI infrastructure and India’s semiconductor policy incentives.
India’s semiconductor sector is gaining traction due to government initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission and Design Linked Incentive scheme, which aim to bolster chip design and manufacturing capabilities.
