The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has initiated a pilot program to test tokenized stocks and U.S. Treasuries with nearly 40 financial firms. Participants include JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Vanguard, and the New York Stock Exchange. The project aims to integrate blockchain-based assets into existing post-trade processes such as collateral management and repo transactions.

DTCC, which processed $4.7 quadrillion in securities transactions in 2025, will assess the feasibility of tokenized assets across its infrastructure. The pilot is designed to demonstrate scalability and potential benefits, with a broader launch targeted for October. Nadine Chakar, global head of DTCC Digital Assets, stated the initiative marks the beginning of a long-term effort to merge traditional and digital asset ecosystems.

The test will cover exchange-traded funds, stocks, and U.S. Treasuries, focusing on efficiency and interoperability. No immediate market reaction was reported, but the pilot could set a precedent for future adoption in mainstream financial markets.
