Stanley Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Family Office disclosed a $23.2 million stake in Hyperliquid Strategies (NASDAQ: PURR), a digital asset treasury company holding 29.2 million Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens. The position represents 0.4% of Duquesne’s reported holdings, signaling confidence in the decentralized derivatives exchange’s native token.
As of July 30, Hyperliquid Strategies’ net asset value stood at $7.56 per share, backed by $1.7 billion worth of HYPE tokens. The stock traded at $6.93 on Aug. 19 before surging to $10.86 by Aug. 24, briefly creating a discount to NAV.
The move highlights Druckenmiller’s interest in digital asset treasuries, which raise capital solely to accumulate cryptocurrencies. The firm’s holdings are fully reflected in its share price, offering direct exposure to HYPE’s performance.
