Dow Inc shares fell 2.3% in early trading as reduced U.S.-Iran tensions removed a key risk premium for chemical and fertilizer producers. The pullback follows a 4.1% gain last week on escalating Middle East supply concerns.

Analysts had priced in a $3–$5 per-tonne freight risk for ammonia and urea shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. That premium evaporated after both nations signaled restraint, according to market sources.

Sector peers CF Industries and Mosaic also declined 1.8% and 1.5%, respectively, while broader indices held steady.
